Welcome to the Liberty Deaf Camp Board! Our dedicated team includes Sharon Bordean, Jonathan (JD) Bordean, Pantong Dashwet, David Mason, Cheryl Mason, Scott Briggs, and Shane Benevenuti. Together, we are committed creating an enriching experience for all campers. Join us in a supportive and inclusive environment for the deaf community!

It is a great honor and blessing for us to serve as Co-Directors of Liberty Deaf Camp. Since 1981, this camp has been a special place where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and CODA children and youth can come together, communicate freely, build friendships, have fun, and most importantly, learn more about Jesus Christ.

Our hearts’ desire is to see Liberty Deaf Camp continue for many generations to come. We believe this ministry has an important purpose. Camp is more than just a week of activities—it is a place where children can feel welcomed and included, grow in confidence, make lifelong memories, and experience the love of Jesus in an environment where communication is accessible to them.

We thank God for our staff, volunteers, counselors, church family, families, supporters, donors, and everyone who works behind the scenes to make Liberty Deaf Camp successful each year. Every person plays an important role. Whether you teach a Bible lesson, lead an activity, prepare food, clean, supervise campers, pray, donate, encourage others, or simply lend a helping hand—you are part of this ministry.

As Co-Directors, we are eager to keep Liberty Deaf Camp moving forward while honoring the foundation that was established in 1981. We pray that God will continue to guide this camp, provide the people and resources it needs, and use it to reach many more children and families.

Our prayer is simple: that children will come to camp, have an amazing time, build lasting friendships, and leave knowing more about Jesus Christ and His love for them.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of Liberty Deaf Camp—past and present. We give all the glory to God for what He has done through this ministry, and we look forward with excitement and faith to what He will do in the years ahead.

Our Mission

Liberty Deaf Camp provides a safe, welcoming, and accessible Christian camp experience where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and CODA youth can build meaningful friendships, develop leadership skills, grow in character, and create lasting memories.

We are committed to creating an environment where every camper feels welcomed, valued, included, and supported through communication access, fellowship, and fun.

Our Faith

Liberty Deaf Camp is a Christian camp ministry sponsored by Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf.

Our faith is at the heart of everything we do. We seek to share the love of Jesus Christ through Bible teaching, worship, prayer, service, fellowship, and Christ-centered relationships.

We welcome campers from all backgrounds and strive to provide a loving and respectful environment where youth can learn about God, grow in faith, build relationships, and experience the love of Christ.
